Located in the picturesque beachside suburb of North Avoca, Ocean House is a stunning home that seamlessly blends modern luxury with beachside living. The residence features extensive use of concrete, which posed its fair share of challenges but ultimately delivered a striking and sophisticated aesthetic.
The Process
From the outset, this project demanded meticulous planning and expert execution. Copper Electrical worked closely with Mitchell Baily from Baily Constructions and lead architect Mathew Woodward to ensure every detail was carefully considered. With burnished concrete floors, off-form concrete walls, and ceilings, precision and thorough planning were paramount.
Due to the construction style, every aspect had to be meticulously planned in advance. Copper Electrical played a crucial role in supporting the design and development of the internal lighting layout and fitting selection, as well as designing and specifying the landscape lighting, WiFi network, and lighting automation. The home is also equipped with a 17kW solar system, significantly reducing its carbon footprint and helping offset the energy usage of the large pool and heating system.
The Outcome
The result is a home that truly embodies contemporary coastal design. One of the standout features is its lighting—a balance of minimalist and feature accent lighting that creates an inviting, homely atmosphere. The carefully curated lighting scheme enhances the home’s architectural elements, making it the perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the coastal lifestyle.
Ocean House isn’t just a home—it’s a statement. A testament to expert craftsmanship, innovative design, and a vision brought to life with absolute precision.
